Model Highlights

All versions of the S60 and V60 are powered by the same basic engine, a 2.0L 4-cylinder, FWD S60 models are equipped with a turbocharger while the V60 and AWD S60 models have both a supercharger and a turbo. In base form, the engine is good for 250 horsepower, sent to the front or all-four wheels via an 8-speed automatic. S60 T6 versions are powered by a more powerful version of the same engine making 316 horsepower, while the T8 version uses a hybrid system to bring total power output up to 400 horsepower, with a massive 495 lb-ft of torque on tap as well. T6 and T8 versions only come in all-wheel drive to help put all the power to the ground. Depending on the engine, the Volvo V60 and S60 are anywhere from relatively quick, to outright fast. The S60 is available in three basic trims. The Momentum trim sits at the bottom of the S60 and V60 hierarchy. It comes with 18-inch wheels, dual chrome tailpipes, heated windshield wiper nozzles, LED headlights, an 8-inch screen in the gauge pod, a 9-inch screen in the center console, SiriusXM satellite radio, a navigation system, dual-zone climate control, an auto-dimming mirror, electronically folding seats, a panoramic moonroof, leatherette upholstery and memory functions for the front seats. The R-Design trim adds a bigger 12.3-inch display for the driver, a Harman Kardon Premium sound system, keyless entry, a hands free trunk lid, paddle shifters for the driver, unique 18-inch wheels, fog lights, gloss black exterior highlights, sportier seats for the front row and R-Design logos throughout the interior. The R-Design also adds a blind spot alert system and parking sensors. The Inscription trim dials back the sportiness of the R-Design and instead dials up the luxury. It rides on its own set of 18-inch wheels, but the exterior of the car gains some extra brightwork over the R-design along with a unique front grille. Inside, owners are treated to driftwood inlays on the dashboard and doors, nicer interior illumination and full leather upholstery. There is also a Polestar Engineered high performance version of the car. It comes only with the most powerful, hybrid engine option and also gets a tuned chassis, courtesy of Volvo's Polestar high performance division. In addition to tweaking the suspension for better handling, the Polestar Engineered car gets 19-inch wheels, Nappa leather seating surfaces, a Bowers and Wilkins audio system and a few other niceties like a 360 degree camera and a heads up display.
